Based on the objectives of the Pharmaceutical Documentation Center, the campaign "Let's Make History" was created with the intended to request the contribution of all pharmacists in order to provide documents, books, photography’s or objects that exemplify the profession in numerous areas.

The Pharmaceutical Documentation Center wishes that, in its archive, all community and hospital pharmacies, laboratories and pharmaceutical industries existent in Portugal will be represented and, therefore, it requires the cooperation and involvement of everyone in sending pictures of the pharmacies and the temporary transfer or donation of material - bibliography, documentation and pictures relating the history of pharmacy and the pharmaceutical profession.

The history of pharmacy in Portugal must be told and portrayed by those who contributed to it, and continue to contribute daily.

Relevant Material:

Many things can be consider of having interest, such as records of practice, permits, pharmaceutical compounding records, pharmacies inventories, letterhead paper, commercialization authorizations, and also old labels, medicine boxes, photography’s (of the pharmacy, objects, pharmacists), newspaper articles or advertisements, brochures and posters, books, etc.

Collaboration Arrangements - options:

a) Donation: original documents donation (documents, books, photography’s or objects), resigning their ownership in favor of the Pharmaceutical Documentation Center of the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society;

b) Temporary loaning of original documents: temporary loaning for (i) digitalization and/or (ii) exhibition. The items don’t change owner and are returned within the periodto be agreed between the parties, and the Pharmaceutical Documentation Center keeps the digital copies of the original documents which will, therefore, incorporate the archive of the Center, for public consultation.



The material donated or loaned, usually integrates the temporary exhibition "Let's Make History" displayed at the Center.
