With the union of the national pharmaceutical associations which originated the Pharmacists National Union, due to the corporate organization in 1933, the newspaper of the Lusitanian Pharmaceutical Society changed its name to Pharmacists National Union Journal.
In 1936, only three numbers were published and after that it stopped its publication until 1940.
The opening message of this newspaper, addressed to the members of the Pharmacists National Union, refers that this publication "will seek to defend the collective professional interests, to dignify the Portuguese pharmacy to enforce and raise it to an intellectual, social and moral level that will justify it, becoming the main foundation of its ambitions, as profession elite." In December 1941, the newspaper changes its name to The Pharmacists Journal. [1]
